LEONARDO JOURNAL Х CYFEST SPECIAL ISSUE PRESENTATION

June 28, 2023, New York, USA

On Wednesday, June 28, we happily presented the Leonardo Journal х CYFEST Special Issue in the presence of several dozens of friends, partners, and readers. Following are a few photographs from the cocktail reception at National Arts Club, New York.

Leonardo was founded in 1968 in Paris by kinetic artist and astronautical pioneer Frank Malina who saw the need for a journal to serve as an international channel of communication among art professionals, with emphasis on the writings of artists who use science and developing technologies in their work. Published by The MIT Press, Leonardo has become the leading international peer-reviewed journal on the use of contemporary science and technology in the arts and music and the application and influence of the arts and humanities on science and technology.

This issue of Leonardo accompanies the 2022 CYLAND International Festival of Media Art CYFEST, featuring international contributions on the theme of fermentation through the dual lenses of art and science as well as the extensive metaphorical possibilities that this theme offers.
