Maxim Svishev – Reivolution

Maxim Svishev

Composer – Alexander Belkov

The artist uses the similarity between the words rave and revolution to combine these two notions. He draws a parallel between historical imagery: the storming of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, the storming of the Bastille in Paris and modern times. Where revolutions once happened people now rave. The double-headed eagle from the gates of the Winter Palace, the symbol of absolutism, turns into a rooster, the symbol of naturalness and revolution. Rock concerts are equally spontaneous. Svishev creates a hybrid image of his own ravevolution. The work is a 3D-animation.
