March 15th, CYLAND MediaArtLab founder Anna Frants joins the 2nd International Symposium on Art Innovation in Kyoto, Japan by invitation from Kyoto University and Goldsmiths, University of London. This symposium, organized through the collaboration among Goldsmiths, the Graduate School of Advanced Integrated Studies in Human Survivability (GSAIS) and other partner universities in Kyoto, aims to promote research/education activities in this interdisciplinary area through collaborations among faculty members and students in these organizations and to spread the charm and value of culture, art, and science in Kyoto from academic point of view expecting that such activities would be widely recognized and accepted by Kyoto citizens. At the same time it is expected that such activities would be one of the contributions from Kyoto University to Kyoto City, which has been recognized as an academic and cultural city.
The Symposium includes exhibition program featuring artworks from William Latham and Memo Akten, who previously participated in the Creative Machine 2 exhibition and CYFEST.
