Cyber-Pushkin, an art project by CYLAND artist Sergei Teterin will be presented at the TXT MediaText festival in Tolyatti, Russia on May 13 and 14, 2016. Cyber-Pushkin is a visualization of Russian intelligent’s futurological fears created with a set of simple programs. The verses, produced by two russian jocular DOS-programs of 1992 and 1996, are recorded by “artificial voice” and personified with synthetic character in real-time. Lexical base for the project includes texts by Russian poets Esenin, Mandelshtam, Prigov and Vertinsky. Monstrous howls in pauses are borrowed from libraries of unpretentious program “E-Jay” for greater intimidation of spectators.
Cyber-Pushkin will be presented at the festival along with video and media performances of the best contemporary Russian poetry.
